Information about Kongsberg
Kongsberg is a municipality and town in the county of Buskerud. The town was founded in 1624, by the Danish/Norwegian king Christian IV.
Kongsberg is well known for it`s old silver mines, from which 1350 tonnes of silver was extracted.
Today Kongsberg has grown into an international business centre often characterised as the innovative capitol of Norway.
